E300 Diesel Hybrid Auto
Hi,
My first time on a forum, so here goes.
I've had a Mercedes E300 diesel hybrid auto for a tad over 1 year now, I'm smitten with it, however for the past few months it hasn't been going into electric mode.
Previously, as it should, when coasting and at low speeds etc the revs would drop to zero and it would cut over into electric mode, this has stopped happening and the revs stay at a touch over 1000 even when idling / stopping at lights etc.
The stop / start function is also not working.
It now starts on combustion not electric, drives absolutely fine, ready is always green and in E drive mode, plus I can see the battery depleting and charging throughout my journeys, never going below 75%.
I've gone through the manual, I don't have an ECO button anywhere on the dash.
I always drive in E mode, never use the M or S.
Can anyone advise why this is happening?
Many thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome,

I’ve moved your post into the hybrid section for you, there’s a few threads here with similar issues unfortunately.

When I had similar it was a new vacuum pump that was the fix.
No I don't know what the vacuum pump does on a hybrid.
