E300 Hybrid MY2014
Hi,
I'm a new member and hoping to learn from the experiences of E300 Hybrid owners. My issue is: as I accelerate the transmission jerks as if the gears are not engaging. Occasionally the engine revs up but car is struggling to move. Sometimes, when going uphill and with onset of the problem the car will not move (just like a slipping clutch). This problem comes on intermittently and the dealers was not able to diagnose the exact fault, but suspected its the transmission unit (costs an arm and a leg)--something I'm not prepared to do without a definite diagnosis.
I suspect it's the TCM unit, but can't be sure. Can anyone help, please. Thx

I had an E300 Hybrid from new in 2014 and had 2 years of trouble free motoring but during my ownership I used to watch the posts on these and although I have no technical knowledge i can say these are very technical beasts, you may not get too many replies due to this but I wish you the best in resolving your problem.

I’m sure there have been posts in here in the past about transmission issues with Hybrid cars. The hybrid drive system is far more complex than a standard auto box and repair costs can be eye-watering. Sadly, dealers rarely know much about the system either.

Thank you, my friend. I’m learning as I go.

The vague and consequentially useless diagnosis that they suspect the whole thing is faulty (No sh9t Sherlock) is so irritating.

Yes you know it won't go properly that's why you took it in.

So you just need an answer that gives more confidence than,

you need a new gearbox because we don't know what's wrong with it and can't be assed finding out.
