Hi all I usually frequent the BMW forums but I am looking for help here for a friend with no internet access and a broken UK 98 E300 turbo diesel.
Long story but on changing the heater plugs one refused to budge resulting in the head having to be removed and going to a machine shop to be extracted.
The car is back together but runs rough when warm, he's narrowed it down to pump timing, all other marks TDC & camshafts are fine but the pump appears to be a tooth out.
Does anyone have any experience of timing these up, special MB tool required to lock the pump off?
