my 96 e300td is due a service it will be the first one ive done since purchace she is comming up to100;000 could any of you tell me what i should be changing and any possable pit falls thanks

If the car is new to you, I'd do engine oil/filter, air filter, fuel filter, ATF change, coolant flush, brake fluid.

You should also have a good look under the car, checking for rust, especially the big crossmember under the engine. Take all 3 plastic undertrays out and get the torch in there. Something else to consider is the front spring perches, they can rust behind the mastic covering, if you're brave jack it up, remove the wheels, get a sharp knife, peel the mastic back, and make sure they're not falling to bits.

thanks patrrot !! will do all the above probally give it a wax oil as well . you dont know where the alt belt adj nut is do you buddy got to replace alt this weekend. then on to my big plans for my w210??? thanks again ( im new to mrecedes but sooooo in love with them now)
