e300 td head gasket

hi all looking for information on doing the head gasket on my e300 turbo diesel 1998 anything to avoid anything to check
also where can i get the tool to remove the injector pre chambers and hints on timing it all back up many thanks

You can tie the chain to the cam wheels to avoid upsetting the timing.. the chain tensioner has to be removed.


Take care of all vacuum pipes and note where they go.
If you cant get to the rear exhaust manifold bolts take off the down pipe and remove head complete with manifold

Think this is the 606 N/A but very similar.

head is knackered warped not cracked though have sourced a replacement and should be rebuilding soon
