E300 TD Stalling problems

Any help\guidence appreciated.

Although serviced recently I have been experiencing stalling problems especially when I'm on an incline. The key issue is that this is an auto box. If and when the engine does catch, the engine appears to splutter until the revs are raised. Is this an engine or gearbox issue (the engine appears to run fine all other times).

What car is this? W210 or W124?

Turbo or non-turbo?

RHD or LHD?

What year?

Problems when starting are almost always caused by air leaks into the fuel system. Replacing the O-rings on all the diesel pipes will normally solve the problem

E300 TD stalling issue

W210 TD 1998

Car runs and drives OK. It's just at take off that the car stalls. Seems strange that an auto will stall !
