i checked fluids today and noticed one that seemed low. the reservoir is on the pass side, next to winderscreen washer bottles. the stuff on the bottle says something like 'hyraulikoil' and it has a dipstick on top - i'm fairly sure this is the psf reservoir but not sure which grade of stuff goes in. any advice? am i right in thinking it's the psf res or is it something else? cheers.

mojo.

ps. had this car for over 6 months now. still fairly lousy on fuel, but still going strong.

It is the self leveling and PS resevior.

Use Central hydralic fluid only. The part number is on the yellow sticker on the cap.

I have some here if you need any.

thanks for that, BlackC55 - was about toput some ATF in (from german and swedish and used it in my for my old beemer 530). Decided to hang back for a while. just as well; sounds like it has to be something special... is the 'Central' Hydraulic fluid a brand name, or a particular kind of fluid. i imagine MB sell it by the litre?

I have a litre bottle in the boot. Bought from the dealer. Seemed the easiest thing to do, and I don't think it was expensive.
