Does anyone have a copy of the circuit diagram for the Rear Wash/Wipe circuit on a W124 Estate (1994). Everything else works, except that when reverse is engaged with the front wipers on, the rear wiper does not work! The rear wiper functions correctly independently ( when the dash switches are used).

Thanks in advance.

Hi

If the wipers are on and then reverse engaged do they stop working? Also do your reversing lights work?

Hi,

The reversing lights work. The front wiper works correctly. The rear wiper works correctly from the switches on the dash.
Previously, on selecting reverse with the front wiper on, the rear wiper would automatically switch on. If the front wiper was on intermittant, the rear wiper would also operate intermittantly, and if the front wiper was on continuous the rear wiper would be on continuous.
This now doesn't happen.
If I have the rear wiper on with the switches on the dash it continues to work when reverse is selected.

if i remember correctly there is a 1 pin two part connector behind the trim panel on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel that seems to have something to do with the activation of the rear wiper in conjunction with the front one .
The connector looks like a small banana plug and socket(black i think)
