My car needs a few jobs done and I am wondering if there easy enough gor DIY?
I've changed the front discs before but are the back as simple to do yourself?
Also I think the front springs could do with being changed, can you do this yourself without any special tools?

Rear brakes are easy enough DIY with the added (small) complication of the parking brake. Make sure you back that off with the adjuster inside the hub and the rest will be familiar.
The springs can be done DIY but you will need some internal spring compressors. The genuine tool costs an arm and a leg but makes the job very simple. Be very careful if you decide to use anything else, get it wrong and you may lose that arm or leg anyway. I've had some success on my W124 using the Sealey internal compressor but it's far from perfect.
