I got back from an overseas job and found the battery flat my E300TD (wdb2100252) the service light comes on reading service needed 15 daYS AGO, it has been serviced recently but i guess my mechanic has not outed the light, can i do this? also bas and asr i on as well is ther a way to reset this? last thing does any one know how to disable the cruise control?

The service reset is in your handbook.
The fault codes need to be read for the bas/asr light on.

the cc drops out then acelerates to max speed having to brakle against the engine, ive changed the petetiometre and had it looked by MB but they dont know whats wrong, when the cc gets disabled when bas asr light turns on it works so to me its cc at fault, worth a try as its goin to the auction soon.

Have you checked that all the tyres are the same size?
Different sized tyres cause the ESP to 'think' that one or more, has lost grip and then plays havoc with the cruise control.
