I would also check the breather on the top of the diff, these have a tendency to block. The pressure then forces oil out of the seals on the prop & drive shafts.

I can look the torque figure up. To things when something is very tight.

Doing up tighter can make it easier to get the nut off, just a tad, second, shock is better than all of the pulling, for instance with a wheel brace, you can bend it just by pulling, one stamp with the foot, and its off. I know its hard laying under the car to get any strenght into it.

Re the new seal, you must put plenty of oil on it when you re fit the new one, if you do not it will be destroyed in no time.

On a 210.003/004 its 90Nm except code 450. On the 210.010/020/035/037/048/061/262/610. 210.003/004 with code 450 but not 210.007 except code 450 these are 180Nm

Hope its all clear. malcolm

S--- I thought that you would be to proud and that you would never ask, the 210--- is the Vin on the car.

the 450 bit is either in the vin or a plate on the axle, there is a hell of a difference between the two figures.

If you cant find a plate on the diff or VIN I will have another look.
