E320 ABS & BAS Fault (visit workshop)

Hi guys

Just disconnected the battery on my E320 estate (Y reg 2001) to weld the bracket on my exhaust back on.

Just reconnected the battery and I'm getting "BAS fault, visit workshop" and "ABS fault, visit workshop" on my dashboard.

Also the electric windows do work if you half push the buttons, but they won't automatically open and shut all the way with one push (if that makes sense).

All since I disconnected the battery. Any ideas?

The first one could be your steering angle sensor, to reset this you need to turn the wheel from lock to lock.
Second one is just that the windows need to be reset. With the ignition on press the open window button and hold it down for 10 seconds, then close the window and hold the button down for 10 seconds. Repeat across all 4 windows.

Out of interest KMBAD which bracket went on the exhaust?

I have just welded the bracket back onto my rear silencer. The bracket rusted and fell off, but the exhaust system was fine.

This reminds me of the late 60's and the start of the Quick fit centers. The first one in the UK was started by a freind of mine in Watford "Merrits"

They were the ones that lasted exactly 12 months and 1 day or 10.001 miles.

My V70 is the same set up as the rear hanger on the MB's my V70R bracket rusted off at 60k whilst there is no fix in the UK, while in Sweden I picked up the clamp for £3 Shame no one does such things here.
