My Car was due a service in the next 800 miles, it was saying it need a A service, today the car is saying it needs a B service. I did top the car with some oil today. please help a bit confused. ps the last service that was done was a B service las year.

Its an error, it always goes A B A B MB will reset when service done.

It depends on the mileage. If you top up the oil you can get longer between services but what it does is to effectively skip the A. I fell foul of this last time. Dragged the A service to 15k, put another litre in and got a further 2k but at 16k it switched to a B. The A is basically just an oil change whereas the B is an oil change plus lots of other stuff. You didn't need the oil change but the rest still needs doing on schedule.

As per previous it very much depends upon how much you use the car as to how often the ASSYST decides it needs to be serviced.
First time mine went from requiring an A service to a B I called my dealer who adviesed that once it went over around 13,000miles it switched to a B. Mine is serviced twice per year (30K p.a). Most I have had is 17,500miles between services but if you want to have the cheaper A service I recommend getting it serviced close to the 13,000 mark.
