I have a 320 cdi '51 which I bought secondhand 2 years ago from a Merc dealer. I have never changed the battery. Today when I was driving - it was very hot outside - my airconditioning was on auto 16Cl and I got "Malfunction 1 ; One of the electrical consumers are not switched off or on" - it seemed that the aircom just fused and slowed down - it was non responsive to me increasing the speed/fan, then after a while it started up again then slowed down/fused again being unresponsive - do you think I need a new battery or should I just ignore it and it will correct itself. This has never happened before - I always have the car 16c inside.
I have also noticed on the odd occassion the"Malfunction 1 ; One of the electrical consumers are not switched off or on" sign comes on for no apparent reason - it corrects itself by the next time I switch on the cars engine.
Anybody else had this or can anyone help me.....thankyou.
