Hi, My W210 air con does not have anywhere near as much affect as it did when i first had the car. This is about 3 years now. I appreciate that this may be due to needing a re-gas, but when i have also noticed that the heater does not warm the car up anywhere near like it used to either. Can a loss of the gas cause the heater not to work also, or do i need to look in another direction to fix this?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Bill.

The air con has nothing to do with the heater, it could be an air flow problem with leaves or debri in the air intake, or the filters cloged.

Hi Gruffy
Change or remove the Pollen filter which is above the passenger footwell. (well it is on my 210 220CDI)

Hi

Yes i would go for replacing the pollen filter in just above where the passengers feet would be, unscrew the 2 star heads that hold the plastic panel in place above passengers feet and slide it forward and down. Then there are two sliders that need slid to allow the door of the filter housing to drop down.

Good Luck,

To check if your AC is working open the bonnet and look to see if the compressor is running. If no gas, no run, mine is out of gas at the moment:(

Thanks Chaps, I'll get a pollen filter and see how it goes. I will also check the air intake. Your help is much appreciated.
