My N/S wing mirror doesn't fold in/out and the heater in it doesn't work either. In fact, the whole mirror folds in/out manually, without any resistance (a bit floppy really!). There is no visible external damage. Is it possible to fix it somehow?

You can buy a new chassis for the mirror,I believe there is a mod for your case, and transfer your cover and glass over, otherwise expensive.

Thanks again Malcolm. Is it likely that the motor and heater are OK but maybe the wires have come adrift somehow? I guess I should take it off and inspect it - right? It looks like it's held on by three screws, that sound right?
