Hi - I have read through 6 pages of Alarm woes & I cannot work this issue out
the car starts and opens fine - its when I lock the car that the alarm goes off.. weird
started last week when mountain biking in breacon beacons - it was wet & cold and car was fine until relocking outside police station in abergavenny (wrong spelling sorry) - pretty embarassing - have to now lock car manually by hand & then use key in drivers door.
drove to B&Q the next day and got as far as aisle 5 (door handles) before hearing on the tannoy - would the owner of the black mercedes estate please attaend to their vehicle...i didnt rush as so not every one knew it was my bl'''dy car!..
want to check and wd40 sensors but cant locate them anywhere around door apertures - where are they?
would like to at least unplug siren - but where is it under bonnet? all i can see is airconditioning units and battery connectors on left hand side and fuses etc on right
tomorrow morning its booked into be connected to computer - but even (HANSA Cheltenham isnt optimistic this will locate the cause) so I intend to get up early and check underneath rear seat and check all connections there - plus under passenger side floor bit for iffy connections etc
any other suggestions? if anyone can point me on the direction of the siren (which seems to be the cause of lots of the alarm issues) that would be great plus if anyone can tell me hold to locate the sensors too that would be doubly pleasing - thanks again for all your great comments and help - its good to knwo I have others to call upon when required.
cheers & good night

car is now going up for sale - once alarm is fixed
2000 W 64K E320 estate elegance (1 previous owner prior to me (they collected it personally from factory, still have the original paperwork) - let me know if anyone is interested - its black metallic, its got tan leather, electronic aircon, 17" 5 spoke alloys (45 section tyres) and is only being sold to pay taxman money he believes I owe him. (yes I admit I spent it all on the car..) It was my keeper and its an awesome drive returning 37mpg on runs to london with cruise control on.
