Just been offered a nice E320 Estate M Reg 1994 for £4,500.
with full MB service History. 113K on the clock.

Next service due Jan 06. Taxed and MOT till Apr 06. 3 months
dealer warranty. Is the price a bit on the high side, or just
about right.

Incidentally I know where there is a nice E320 Coupe M Reg
in Azurite Blue 175K in Cheshire if anyone is interested.
£3,500! He's a dealer near Knutsford.

Hi There

I have just purchased a 1994 L reg E320 estate , 114k full MBSH from a non franchised dealer for £4,500 so based on this I'd say £4k-£4.5k is about right ( or I have been done!). Incidentally, the parkers value is £5,600 for my car.

Hope this helps

Jonathan

Hi,

According to www.wheelerdealer.com a clean car is worth between 3625 - 4025. Try the site yourself. You will have to try a few of the 'E Class Estate categories before you find your 'intended' as the categories dont show the car years..until you look at sub categories. I think its the 2nd or 3rd E Class Estate category on the list.

Another factor that would influence me is the goodies. i.e leather, electric windows/sunroof/seats etc/, 7 seats

I bought a 93K 320TE with 80K full MB history for £3700 recently..it had just about every option except cruise control..and they all currentlywork!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the WheelerDealer.com site. Just checked the price of the E320 Estate which comes in at £6750 - so I feel a lot better about that! Anyone care to buy my car at £6750???

Many Thanks

When I was buying my SL, I found it overpriced cars, especially the retail condition.

Just put my car in now, and it says £6,500 more than I paid for it six months ago.

I bought mine from a reputable independant, with full rac check, all docs, 12 months warranty.

Yes I agree it does overprice somewhat. However, my Brother in Law has a E320 Cabriolet N Reg with 58K (Sportline) in superb condition and it valued this car at £14,500 when it's true retail value is somewhere in the region of £21K with that mileage and full MBSH. Stange!

In any case the true value of any car is only reflected in what someone else is prepared to pay for it.

They use the term retail condition to mean what a retail garage would put on the sticker, I think. We all know that most dealers will do a good deal for cash (non trade in) buyers. And they also have to make a profit.

Seen a W124 saloon M 1995 E200 with 106K miles no FSH. Has airbags ,PAS.

Would the car have aircon, stability control from 1995.

He wants £1600 for it. He seems genuine older person who has had it for 3 years from 78K miles. Done his own service.

What does the heater control look like , does it have two dials either side and three vertical buttons in the middle. This is what I expect and if so this is Temp-matic air con. Ie the temperature is controlled automatically but you decide where the air goes manually. I would be very surprised to see one without A/C but as its an E200 (smallest engine , cheapest model) its possible.

The mileage is no issue but my major concern is the lack of FSH. Every owner knows the importance of keeping a FSH on MB cars so for someone not to have one is quite surprising. I would pass . Petrol models arent hard to find.
