E320 Phone Pre-Wire

I have just taken delivery of my E320 Avantgard which appears to have the pre-wired phone cradle (split centre console with phone holder - part number A211 820 1451) for a Nokia phone. Sod's Law - I am now using a Sony-Erikson 750i Is it possible to change the cradle to one for the 750i and still retain functionality?

If it's a UHI system then there are UHI cradles available from MB and on EBAY. They do phone specific ones and bluetooth ones.
However, from googling that part number, it sounds like the old hard wired system. The chanhe over was mid 04 but you don't say how old the car is. If it is a hard wired system I believe there are after market bluetooth conversion kits around but I don't know the details.

The car is early 2004 - just my luck. Looks like Bluetooth is the only option then? What does the UHI cradle look like?

The part number for the Sony K750i is B67875860 £131 inc from MB

The dealer ordered one of these to install before I collected the car - then told me that the cradle is hard wired and cannot be converted.
