any information to cure wheel/disk vibrations. All wheels balanced and both front and rear disks and pads changed. If anyone has any pointers or experience of the same issue, particularly at cruise speeds and has resolved the problem please write back. Thanks

I had similar issues. I had the balancing done by kwikifit and the tracking done by a Merc specialist. It still vibrated - and I do 100 miles a day - it drove me nuts. In desparation I popped into a local discount tyre specialist (Alba tyre - Leeds). I explained the problem and told him to do whatever it took - blank cheque time!. An hour later I had (and still have 2months later) a sweet running E class and the bill was £40 - less than I had paid for the first tracking work. As far as I can tell, all he did was rebalance the front wheels and reset the tracking again. Find yourself a well established, well equipped (mercs need 4 wheel alignment and weighing down) independent (you can get better than a kwik fit fitter!)wheel and tyre specialist, explain the problem and tell him to road test and diagnose it himself. I often find that the best way with obscure problems is just to hand them a blank cheque and the keys with no time or cost limits. I've never been ripped off and it gets around the usual "do the minimum to keep the cost down" mindset when the real aim is "fix the ****** thing".
