E350 Instrument cluster upgrade

Hello i would like to ask is it possible to upgrade the instrument cluster my curent cluster is 2012y with color on the middle but i like the newer one so my question is if i bought a instrument cluster from the cluster what i need to do to function fully.

I would say its not a viable upgrade. The shape of the clusters are different so the newer cluster wouldn't fit the binnacle. There is also a strong possibility the plugs won't match the instruments and then you have the mileage correction issue to sort out as well.

Might be easier to sell the car and get a 2013 facelift W212 with the cluster you want.

The cluster on the left is from the 212 Blueffiency model and the one on the right is the BlueTEC does that mean that the car you list below your avatar is wrong.

As above I don’t see how you can update the cluster the shape and layout is totally different.

Ironically I prefer the pre-facelift cluster layout mainly due to the large analog clock a lot of cars have a digital time read out which I really dislike

Merc are shxxe at catering for upgrades buy as u need in first place or buy a BMW where that is largely possible
