Can anyone help me?
Luckily I was sitting here today looking at my security cameras and saw the boot of my e350 2017 reg open on its own, the keys where in a separate room and no one had touch them.
How do I stop this from happening?

Hi Naomi and welcome to the forum :) That's an odd one, maybe it wasn't closed properly ?

It was fully closed since yesterday afternoon.
As mentioned I just so happened to be looking at my security cameras and saw it pop open. The keys were in the back of my door and I’m the only person in.
It’s worrying as I have all of my work stock in my boot.

Has it ever done it before? I’d suggest it was a one off and probably nothing to worry about, if it happens again and your absolutely sure no one inadvertently caught the boot opener then I would look at getting yourself a faraday pouch for the keys that way you block the signal from the keys reaching the car

So I have had the car since august and this is the first time this has ever happened. Luckily it is the middle of the day rather than the middle of the night.

A Faraday Pouch is a must anyway. I use mine all of the time even when I just pop into a shop :)

Quite easy to inadvertently press the boot open button

I agree I need to get one but the rest of the car didn’t unlock just the boot popping open so no one interfering with the key

You may have just had a close 'shave'. These people have electronic gismo's that pick up the signals from your Key and are then able to open just the boot or whatever else your key will open or start.

Make getting a Faraday pouch a priority. In the meantime put your key in the fridge or some tinfoil before anything else mysteriously happens :)

Do you really think that is the answer, so interfering?
There wasn’t anyone near my car at the time this happened I have rewand my security camera and there wasn’t anyone around.

I’ve merged your threads for you as there’s no need to post the same question across multiple areas

Hiya , just a thought have you got keyless entry ,if so maybe the sensors at the rear need to be cleaned .under the rear bumper. ,

Hi it’s not keyless entry. I know a few people have made their suggestions but I can’t actually agree that the suggestions made are valid.
I have just looked back on the security cameras and it’s just so random.
No one near the car. I locked the car up yesterday afternoon and the boot all of a sudden opens on its own....it’s mind boggling
