Hi has anyone on here have personal knowledge on how to remove the turbo charge pipe on the e350 w212 265 in order the change the fuel filter which should be a 10 minute job, but because the turbo charge pipe has a expansion pipe sticking out right over the fuel filter I can't get it out, so next logical step was to remove the charge pipe so one torx screw at top and two at the front cowling of fan to get at the small screw for bottom clamp of charge pipe but not enough movement up or down to get either end off looks like removal of whole fan cowling inorder to remove the plastic box at front of engine that charge pipe connects to, so at that point I stopped at least I got the oil and filter service done, I hadn't planned on wasting a whole day so best stop now, has anyone completed this & any advise if you have would be great Screenshot_20230706_203507.jpg

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- 1.2 vauxhall Corsa 2021 ,orange with a black roof. .
Should be 2/3 nuts to loosen on the resonator box , loosen only ,Do not remove !!!! . There's one up top once you loosen it along with the others , it will allow the resonator box to tilt towards the front of the car . You'll need 2 new o rings , one green ,one black . Movement is minimal with that pipe , you'll get maybe 4 mm , just enough to pop it off , pull from the turbo end first ,with the box bolts slack enough ,it will move off the turbo just enough to then lift the pipe clear ,your talking mm's at most . Prepare to lose some skin off your hands . Allow a few hours and take your time ,it gets infuriating. The engine pictured is mine . I also had to contend with the black plastic trunking as well. Such joy . One bolt underneath ,you can reach after removing the lower engine covers , you'll need to join a few flexible wobbly socket bars together and go up the gap of about 4 inches wide to get at the bolt, ive got hands of a gorilla and I was on about 2 hours to get 4 full turns ,I left it loose on refitting, total pita. You could refit without changing the o rings ,but it's best to have 2 new just incase , especially the green one to turbo. Screenshot_20230707-202629-343.png Screenshot_20230707-205624.png

As above really! I take the bolts out as it makes it far easier to get the intake pipe off, but getting the bolts in is a pain unless you have done it a lot.

Definitely replace the o rings as they will leak if not.

As Alex says, I remove the bolts on the front resonator box completely too. You need to keep the charge pipe completely horizontal when pushing it onto the green O ring on the turbo outlet or you will nip the ring and it’ll leak. Easily done.

I used a little hi-temp silicon grease to help ease it in when I did mine. The previous 'mechanic' had nipped the old one.
