So a few weeks ago the engine management light came on in my car. I took it to the garage who I have used for years with various cars, and they plugged it in to their iPad thingy and it diagnosed a faulty NOX sensor.
With Brexit and whatever else there was a delay in when the parts would be delivered (to the local MB dealer). And they had no idea when that would be.
I get a phone call on Wednesday that the sensor would be delivered on Monday (yesterday) and to bring my car in today.
However, with the storm on Friday, it ripped the roof off the garage I use and the garage is currently closed (for obvious reasons).
However (again) I drove the car 160 miles on Saturday and the engine management light has now disappeared from the dash.
My question is this. Has my car done what my Italian cars have done and fixed itself? or will the fault return at some point?
The reason I ask is that I had to stump up £561 for the sensor from MB and if I don't have to use it, I'd like to get my money back!
