I have a 1996 E36 Estate (W124) with fMBsh and 112000 miles, rhd and sold by a UK dealer, all the usual bits plus climate control and 7 seats, and of course an AMG engine and suspension, and looking as new, but can never find it in any price guides.  I wondered if anyone had experience of prices for these - and how many were imported.
The handbook says I should not tow with it, but the MB helpdesk says this is because of 'styling' reasons - but as it has no body mods at all will assume towing a trailer with a sports car on it should present no difficulties!

Chris.

I really can't see why you should not tow with your vehicle, with the amount of power you must have it seems like an ideal tow car, what do you intend to tow?

E36 Estate

Dave

thanks for the reply.  It will be a trailer with a Morgan Plus 8 - I guess the trailer will be some 1800 kg, making an all up weight of around 2700 kg

Chris.

Have a look on the manufactures plate under the bonnet, that will give all the relevent weights.
