Looks like a nice car! Unfortunately the market for big drinking cars seem to be disappearing.
Keep it for the weekend and get something like an S-Max to ferry the new family around in. I know it's a Ford but they are surprisingly good.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

good luck with the sale.
The mrs used to work for autotrader and once brought home an ad with a photo similar to the first one. The text read "Sale due to bereavement" :)

What are your palns to swap it with?

Family car it might be but I was amazed ay how much room our pram (an iCandy) took in my brothers Jag Saloon compared to my ML where I hardly notice it.

:)

ML55 seven seater, straight swap :) badge it ML270Cdi for the (mrs) happy days

tell the mrs the car is paid for & a kid will in its 1st 18 years cost around £150,000 to bring up

buy her a dog and fill the e55 with v-power and you will both be happy
There is a great deal of merit in this advice.

Lovely looking car. I can relate to the kids issue. Not everyone will agree but I generally find that saloons are no good for newborns. Getting baby buggies and all the associated baby stuff in is a squeeze and most boots, although long, are just too shallow. I went for a 4x4 and have since swapped for an Estate (running costs). I remember our first holiday with the baby and I couldn't believe how much crap there was to take - I almost filled a 4x4 with 2000 litres of space! A lovely E-Class estate might be the answer?

Agree with that, saloons are a bugger to get anything in to. I was thinking on the lines of a E320 diesel estate (keeps her happy and at least I get to have a decent car)

I will also take offers on the car but personally added a bit more for the private plate (although this could be negotiated to remove it) and the fact its still got over 2 years platinum warranty on the car.

your right I should have made that more clear.

It has about 2 years left of a Platinum Warranty with warrantyworks.
Should also mention it has Cruise Control
Becker sound system with 10 CD changer
BOSE speakers
Hydraulic suspension

Missed these off the first post (too many things to remember)

I couldnt decide if I should sell the plate seperate as ive seen an almost identical plate on one of these cherished plate sites for about £5000!

its only 2 digits up from mine.

Anyone any thoughts on that?
