Juat had a service ( had to use the main MB dealer because the car has a MB used car warranty) - they charged me £884!
On their report they said the brakes were 75% worn, and it needed new pads and discs, at a cost of £990-I know the brakes on the e55 are special order, but this seems rather expensive to me.
Does anybody have experience of having this done, and at at what cost-I don't necessarily want it done"on the cheap", but surely it shouldn't be this much?

I seem to remember paying about £350-400 for the front brakes on our C43 a couple of years ago. Genuine AMG-Merc parts fitted at my local garage.

It might depend which model of E55 you have? I'm pretty sure you will have to use the original parts, though...

My E55 is going in shortly, MB have qouted me £630 inc VAT (B/C service), which I did,nt think was unreasonable, but the discs and pads and anything they find is on top, and I believe as you have been told, AMG discs and pads, thats £1k at least, think Malcom has commented on these costs for discs in recent posts.
