E55 feeling a little low today

After just having the rear crank seal done, the 55 is having a hissy fit and has dropped its rear. After a few hours it seems the rear starts dropping, pumps fine as it rises back up on start and hold pressure on a STAR test.

I know all the usual airmatic suspects, hoping its just an airline leak somewhere!

booked in to have investigated at the weekend!

any advice on obvious culprits for the rear you may know of would be most welcome?

I would imagine a slight leak from the pipework in the compressor area, or air leaking back internally through the distributor

I know a guy who's a top modder for 55's, done loads of top quality work on his car - an E55 Joe Expert and a nice bloke too - he'll know.

so the car was very low when left overnight, even got "Car too low visit workshop" message in the cluster this time

paid a visit to Alex (Alex Crow), we could hear a leak on the passenger side rear which was a positive start!

Stuck it on the ramp and we could see the leak coming from the strut resevoir as per pic

as you can see below the part were the pipe attaches had corroded and there were 2 holes where the air was leaking from, and as this part is not available to buy seperately Alex decided to do a repair.

already checkd it thanks, and put some grease on to stop that going the same way!

Incase you ever have this problem again, you can always cut off the old one & fit a new weld on barb..
