Helo, could anyone tell me what the EC switch is for on my 1998 C250 td, thankyou.

With EC light ON, your air con is OFF. EC is for economy due to extra load on the engine if the air con compressor is turning. However, it's arguementative as to whether you could notice the difference in MPG. Most people leave the AC on (light off on switch)
