I've been having trouble this week with my A-Class (see this thread http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=21281) and finally took it today to my local indy for a look. He did his diagnostic bit and apparently there's an ECM problem and in his words "It's a Merc job." I gather it'll be an expensive job from the dealer, is it do-able at home? Any insights would be gratefully received!

P.S. I'm assuming it needs replaced, I didn't get a copy of any fault codes coz I'm a girl and, by my own admission, a bit rubbish at this.

Yes this is a dealer job or a local indy can do it if they have the correct computer. Has to be coded to the car.
So sorry not a DIY job

Good luck
