Eco mode issues

I have a 2012 e220, and iv noticed that my green eco mode does come on as often as it did ie the stop start , it does have a good run down motorway five days a week , is this just due to it getting colder. , or is there something a miss .

What state is your battery in? Less than 12.6V at rest and it's getting past it's best

Good news , good for the battery , less wear to engine mounts , ring gear , starter motor , timing chain tensioner , chain and engine bearings .

Its running at rest12.32, and 14.65 running

Do you have an auxiliary battery in the boot or a capacitor attached to the main battery in the engine compartment?
I would check the condition of aux battery if the Eco is not turning green with the use your car is getting.
As stated above, its a system I don't much like unless there is heavy stop start traffic. It's the first thing I turn off when I get started.

At 8 years old your main battery will be getting tired I replaced mine last year and the ECO light comes on within two miles or less depending on the ambient day temperature. Fit a VARTA or Bosch which are OEM I bought one online from Tanya Batteries arrived next day can’t fault price or service from them. One more thing give the battery a couple of hours charge before fitting just to top it up makes all the difference

My 2011 C350 did this last year , ended up being the main battery , I charged both batteries and it was better but only for a few days, in the end I purchased a Halfords battery using a trade-card for about £120 , Halfords batteries are re-badged Yuasa batteries and have a decent warranty 3 or 5 years I think...has been spot on eversince. im still running the original Aux battery.

Thanks for advice everyone I'm going to keep an eye on the battery states , and take it from there .
