Hi All

I have noticed on my C220 sports that the start/stop function doesn't activate straight away. Is this something to do with the cars temperature after standing all night, or should the start/stop kick in straight away?

Regards

Howard.

Used to have a C63...
A whole host of parameters.

Engine temp, current draw on battery (ie aircon on, lights on, etc), whether or not you're demisting..... The various factors will be buried in your car's handbook somewhere!

It is as Rotorhead says Micheal, the battery has to be in a good enough order for this too work.

My stop start works after a couple of miles with the current weather but in the winter after a 30 mile motorway drive with lights on etc, it seldom comes on.

I had an A class diesel on loan where the eco function always activated immediately no matter what the current conditions,my M class is another story, it never functions until i have travelled at least 10 miles and even then works sporadically. Go figure!

I understand that they are configured to operate when the engine reaches normal operating temperature. Check your Handbook to see if it clarifies matters.

The A class loaner ECO operated immediately from cold.
