ECP and electrical faults

please help. my merc ml 270 ECP light keeps coming up . also the side miiror indicators dont work , brake light want work and electric mirrors dont work . is this to do with ECP unit.also there is a juddering sound which come on and off. the air conditioning unit is not functionaing effectivly and the front lights have become too low. i have taken the car back to the merc dealer where i bought it from as this was not acceptable.i only had the car for a week bought and this problem has happend. the dealer said he is going to fix the problem but im unsure if this is going to resolve all the problems as i am less confident in the car. is this expensive to repair and should i face a big problem later with this . the car is ml 270 and is about 6 years old.it is under 12 month warrenty.

ECP/ESP Problems

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about your ECP not working. I had a similar problem with my CLS (ESP failed). Same problems though, the indicators didn't work or the wipers etc, basically anything that was attaached to the steering wheel/column. The ESP control unit housed in the steering column was replaced under warranty (took about 7 days though to get the replacement part - everything has been OK since.

So long as you get it replaced under warranty, then I guess you should be OK - make sure you get a loan car from the dealer as mine took about 7 days to fix!
