EDC warning lamp fault..
Detected codes;
Bosch Service detected codes;
3 IAT SENSOR
4 MANIFOLD BAROMETRIC PRESSURE
8 FUEL DISTRIBUTOR INJECTOR PUMP
11 START INJECTION CTRL
29 ELEC SHUT OFF
36 START INJECTION SENSOR
Symptoms:
Car in limp mode (max out at 3000 revs).
Engine takes 3 secs to switch off.
2 or 3 starts when cold.
As I have been quoted +£1100 to fix new fuel pump and parts, can anyone advise the following;
1. How do I disable EDC sensor to computer, so car never enters limp mode
and clear down the memory in the computer? (The car drives normaly and is capable of higher revs).
2. Any other ideas on more feasible parts (not breakers) and labour costs.
The above quote is Bosch or Merc garage. Cannot find anyone else competent to do job.
