Eibach lowering springs.Wheel fouling arches.

I have recently lowered my '93 W124 E280 saloon and replaced the dampers. I used an Eibach pro spring kit and Sachs gas dampers. All was well until I collected the car yesterday after having the geometry set up.
Looking at the report they used the settings for Sportline.
Now the rear edges of the front wheel foul the lower body moulding at the rear of the front wheel arch, under braking.
Does anyone know where I can get figures for the correct settings. I can then go back to the place where I had the geometry checked.

I assume you mean the tyre is fouling the arch / moulding under braking. It shouldn't be anywhere near it unless you've got the wrong tyre size or you've got some lock wound on

It should be pretty easy to see exactly where it's fouling - there will be a clean patch on the arch and a corresponding mark on the tyre. Post a photo on here and we'll have a look

How much have you lowered it by and what size tyres & rims are you using? What's the wheel offset? What did you ask the geometry to be set to?

You've got to expect some strange effects when lowering a car, particularly under braking or hard cornering when the geometry/wheel position will be furthest away from where it was designed to be. There's a pretty limited amount of adjustment available when setting geometry so if it's fouling now it's likely to carry on fouling unless you change the ride height

Further Info

I took the car back to the tyre centre yesterday and they adjusted the geometry so that the wheels no longer foul the lower body mouldings at the rear of the wheelarch (not the inner wheelarch lining). They in effect moved the wheel forward. I will have to check the wheel offset. They are 16" 8 hole alloys with 215/55/16 Pirelli P6000 tyres. There was no further movement available on the eccentric adjustment washer to increase the camber...
It would be great if the manufacturers of these kits could provide some geometry information.

The specifications used were from 034 Sportline data on their computerised system.

Caster (specs. 9.55' - 10.55')
left 11.23'
right 11.23'
Camber (specs. -1.20' - -0.50')
left -1.46'
right -1.53'
Toe (specs. 0.6 - 1.6)
left 1.0
right 0.9
total 1.9 (specs. 1.0 - 3.1)

7J x 16 ET 46 with 215/55 tyres would have been a MB option, if that helps
