Hi guys...
having a bit of a cooling problem ! the electric fan is not cutting in and I wondered where to find the sensor ?
The car is a W123 240D with air con....and yes it has just been charged so thats not the problem...

I am in Cyprus and the temps are in the high 80's and it also has to do a bit of climbing up the Troodos mountains but it has been getting to about 110 !!

I pulled the thermostat out and it now runs without one but still gets hot ?

Any ideas where to find the sensor for the fan so I can replace it ?

Cheers Andy

yes this is what I had intended to do but first I must find the sensor ??? it is not on the radiator nor on the thermostat housing.....they hid it from us mere mortals....following the wires is no help as they dissapear into the loom ,,and the Haynes workshop manual is worse than useless for these cars! so I still need info on the location of the electric fan sensor switch if anyone can help

Never known them to be there on a merc, usually to the right of the oil filler cap, but not sure, esp being a 240d.
