Well nautical.Parbuckling I knew there was something I needed to learn about.
Sounds like something from a Pirate.
How big is the girder and what do you want to lift? No point buying a 500kg hoist if the girder will only take 200kg.Anyone bought one ?
I want one a 240 volt one for internal use in garage and to hang from a steel girder, I have never bought one and know nothing
Wud t be much of a beam that cud take only 200kgHow big is the girder and what do you want to lift? No point buying a 500kg hoist if the girder will only take 200kg.
If it's an I beam you cud get. Make a roller runner so pictured hoist cud be positioned at any suitable point . Myself I can't as it's all concrete x beamsIt will take 500kg with ease it's going on a 203 x 133 steel beam.
Hence why I asked instead of presuming, could be a tin shed roof truss made out of 18swg. At least the OP was honest to say:Wud t be much of a beam that cud take only 200kg

Yes, it will be on a roller runner as I think that would work better, as I said a big learning curve as I didn't know of all the options and very variable performance. If it's an I beam you cud get.
