I've recently bought my 98; avantgarde T210 but the knob for adjusting the electric mirrors was missing.
I did'nt think much of it as I can still adjust the mirrors ok, and I thought popping over to my local merc dealer would remedy said problem for a couple of Quid .........WRONG. much to my shock/amusment they wanted £137+ vat!!!!!!!!!! because they supply the knob with the whole console. Does any one have or know where I can get one ( its black by the way !!)

I was quoted over £200 by my local M-B dealer because the switch comes with the whole console AND the PCB underneath. My switch just snapped off - it had four little "legs" that held it in place and one by one they broke off. So I superglued what was left back into position and the switch still works. I'd try a breaker - there's a very helpful and efficient one in I think Oldham called Dronsfield's - but I doubt you'll be able to get the switch by itself

If you can take a low resolution shot, you can open the manage attachments
below the reply box and upload it. I may have something laying around that would do, the transparent bit is the hardest.

It looks the same as my SL the square shaft makes it harder but I will have a look over the weekend, on the knob there is a line in the top that lights up to show the side its pointing to, tell me does the end of the shaft stick out of the top of the hole or is it flush or sunk. I will see if mine comes off

mirror adjustment knob (gone)

Hi tv thanks ,the shaft pretrudes out from the hole about 9mm. there is a black plastic curved shroud/bezel which is proud of the console (one on each face - see pic ) which is 4mm at its highest point ,this leaves 5mm of clear shaft exposed .thanks again .
