Electric windows problems on a 190e (H)

My twin brother has just purchased a 190e on a H plate last week Thursday. For some unknown reason the electric windows on the passenger side and both rear have stopped working. Can anyone help with what to do. The windows are open and its raining

They wer problerly working intermittently for a while, the wiring is a known weak spot esp the rears, the wires simply get damaged over time and you loose the current. It could be lazy motors but i doubt it.

Can you hear the motors running at all?
