The driver side front window on my E280 W124 has been getting slower and slower for sometime now. The motor seems to work fine, however when using the quick-down function, on the odd occasion the window has failed to retract and stuck.

Is there a quick way of lubricating the runners without having to remove the door panel? Any suggestions?

Regards

David

Spray WD40 down the runners (make sure you use the litte red pipe or it will go everywhere)

that will do the trick.

Is WD okay to use for this - considering the rubber parts in the window mechanism? My drivers window is getting a little sluggish too and I'm wondering what to use....just a little nervous of oil based products...

I hope it is, I tried the suggested remedy and it worked a treat.

Thanks Matt

Silicone from a spray can works great- especially considering the rubber parts.
