thanks tv i'll look into that but the relay is stuck to the sockets for now and i've got work tomorrow.I'll have a good go on saturdaytelevision said:To test, pin 30 is the 12volt in, pin 87 is the output under fault condition it drops to 7.5 volt normally dry solder but many crumble away if it is the original. it has a fuse on top, normally near the battery but could be in the main fuse box. there is no light relay
