Once again the Over voltage relay if faulty will light the ABS lamp and effect the idle and other circuits, let us have the car type and model for any more info.

That sounds like a corker, would love to hear the outcome.

Best ever fault I discovered was on a Volvo 480. I took me ages to work it out but there was a chip that operated the relays for the heating system. This had been fitted to the control unit upside down. I bought a new chip and fitted it and the whole thing worked perfectly.

The Volvo 480 had a repuation for bad electrics, if you think that they were fitting chips upside down then 50% of the cars wouldn't work correctly. Volvo eventually did away with this system on the 480s even though it was a good system at the design stage.

I wrote to volvo about this but never received a reply.

.

Many years ago I repaired a Radiomoble radio for a customer's Rover 110, he came back the following week saying that he is always getting punctures now that I fixed the radio, and it must be something that I had done, never did solve that one.

To test, pin 30 is the 12volt in, pin 87 is the output under fault condition it drops to 7.5 volt normally dry solder but many crumble away if it is the original. it has a fuse on top, normally near the battery but could be in the main fuse box. there is no light relay

Had not thought of that back then, could have been the long waves, they make bigger holes.
Some times I wish that I had retyred:shock:

You should know by now that the lamp in the shed only lets the washing machine run on program 2.

I am out working Sat & Sun, but home eve, If I can help at all, I will
