Electrical Humming Noise

I have an 2001 A Class and have recently started hearing an electrical humming noise coming from the front - this seems to have got louder over the past couple of weeks. The noise is only there when the car is moving and stops when it is stationary, when I press the brake pedal or the handbrake is on. Any ideas what it is?

Only thing comes to mind at the front is the power steering pump, that's electrical!
