Thanks in advance for your help with this on going pain of a problem.
This is a follow up to a problem I posted about the auto-transmission harshly jurking when selecting reverse or drive.
so I have a W203 C200 2002 kompresser petrol, and if done the following so far.
1. changed the ATF, filter and the plug housing. However the jerking is still there.
2. after reading through the forum posts, I picked up a second Auto transmission control unit.
so here is the new problem I'm faced with.
Before replacing the old TCM I tried to start the car but the engine was dead. electrics came on but couldn't start the car. Unplugged the old TCM and the car fired up no worries. So plugged in the replacement TCM and the car wouldnt start again. I switched the units back and still no go.
I've popped the car on my el-cheapo scanner from eurocarparts and picked up the following codes.
p0600 and p0702.
cleared the codes but still no choo-choo from the engine.
any pointers would be great, my next step is to investigate the conductor plate or strip it for parts.
