Have been reading the threads on electrical faults and would like some guidance.. Mercedes 300 sl 24 - R129 model
All started when went on holiday for 2 weeks, battery went dead flat, allsorts stopped working!!
Temp gauge shows +57 degrees. Drivers seat stopped going forward & backwards. Noticed the other night, when was driving the car (rare occasion), when I put on the indicator, the seat belt sign lit up and all other indicators lit up momentarily. they went out again straight away, then was ok if tried indicators straight away again. Next turn applied indicators again and same thing happened again. Operated the hazards and same again.
Was considering a bad earth, but which one. Then read about the OVP? relay. Would this happen with this relay?. If the answer is yes, where is it located and waht does it look like (standard square 4-5 pin relay or double pole relay?)
Also, cruide control doesnt work, could this be related? I wasn't expecting it to be, but may as well ask. Can only live in hope!!
