Hi I have bought a A180 from an auction and as there is no keys the electronic hand brake does not release normally,I have previously read that the hand brake can be released manually from somewhere in the boot any ideas anyone. Thanks in advance
I'm thinking that the lack of any responses here suggests that for a meaningful answer to your problem, we need more info. For example, what keys are missing? Or are you simply trying to release the h/b to get it home?Hi I have bought a A180 from an auction and as there is no keys the electronic hand brake does not release normally,I have previously read that the hand brake can be released manually from somewhere in the boot any ideas anyone. Because electronics are so much cheaper (and lighter) than mechanical these daysAnother headache.trying to impersonate a simple cable n ratchet. Not for my overall benefit me thinks designed to have u back at dealer at some point. Cable n ratchet system unlikely to bother you ,ever ! So why change it.
Another reason I'm keeping my SLK - proper handbrake (not that I use it...)If I had option at purchase I would not hesitate to opt manual.cable ratchet. I KNOW that will never be something that will be expensive or beyond my capability (coding, ect ) to fix.
I've a friend who's about to sell his 21,000 miles GLC350d - main dealer advising on a >£1K + service... says it needs ATF change as well as £££ pother bits (and software update) - he's just bought another Range Rover as it's cheaper...Same cept ml lovelly drive but going in spring. Swapped low mpg abc, sbc, srs, pse , ect for adblue, nox, egr ......wont make that error 2x!!!
