This is my first car without a traditional dipstick.....so I'm assuming most if not all recent model Mercedes are like this.
Also the practice of checking while the engine is running is totally alien to me, although I suppose it needs to be that way.
I checked the level today for the first time(car is 3 weeks old) and the level is reading maximum just as I would expect.
Like I said I have no experience of this electronic method of checking the oil level so I am wondering how accurate it is compared with checking the traditional way?
Do others prefer this method?
I haven't made up my mind yet......
