Engine cut out

As soon as the engine is at operating temperature it cuts out and the car is imobilised . Also at that point the engine fan comes on and then the recirculating switch flashes as does the roof operating switch. Overnight the car will then start normally, then the cycle repeats itself yet again. When cold, disconnecting the thermal switch at the front of the engine reproduces the same fault . Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated.2000 UK model.

A block connector in the Module box in the engine compartment was at fault along with a loose Main fuse holder
