Hi

Its been a while asking for your advice which in the past as help me solve a few problems, any ideas on the following.

1994 SL 500

The problem I have which as been like it for a while but due to the fact I do not use the car alot not a major problem.

TICK OVER
This is very slow I tried ajustment on the throtle cable this made the ASR light come on. how can I adjust?

ASR

The ASR as also come on whilst driving but now being aware of this fact I turn off the ignition and turn on again to cure it. This happens now and again driving the car the same way.

ENGINE CUTTING OUT
This again not all the time. Start car leave running for a while splutter splutter engine dies, takes ages to restart even straight away or leaving it for while. whilst trying to start sputter splutter bang.

I have listed all these points in one go as hopefully they could relate to one problem and also to give you a better idea on your findings.

Whilst reading other problems of car owners on this site I have some of the same prblems.

Best of luck

Regards

Thanks for the reply

I will replace this first as noticed from another member who reported enginge cut out problems, who replaced the OVP with success.

Where can I locate the OVP. 1994 SL 500 ?.

Do you think this will solve the ASR problem when driving as well ?.

Thanks again

Regards

Dave

PS Just been to mercedes dealer to order the OVP told it was not listed.
gave him code for part number as found on this site for a different model, no problem. Please can you confirm that my model as this fitted. This maybe asking to much but have you a code number for this part.

See my other posts for updates
ASR problem was solved in my case by changing tyres. I was told that its somthing to do with the rotation being in sync.
Best of luck
