Hi all - I hope someone can help a mechanical duffer.
I've got a 1986 D reg 300T. Just recently the engine has started cutting out when idling. The car starts up OK usually but if I lift my foot off the accelerator the engine cuts out.
I usually put 'unleaded' fuel in it, but the other day put some 'super unleaded' in. The engine started cuting out about 5 minutes after this, when slowing down to turn right of left etc..., so I think the problem may be related to the fuel, but am not sure. Any advice would be gratefully received,as at the moment I am wary of even taking it out to the shops !
