Engine Cutting Out

Hi Everyone,

It's my first time in, so hello to everyone.

I have a 3 week old cls320 cdi and over the these weeks the car has cut out twice. I lose the power steering and brakes. After 15 secs the car will start no probs. It has run fine between these two events.

I called out the merc breakdown, but they found no fault on their computer. It is now in the main agent workshop, but I would like to hear if anyone else has had this problem and what causes it.

A very good customer of mine, who buys a bew merc every year and several for his company a year had the same problem on his CLS, occasionally when he turned right the engine would cut, this went on for months, mercedes even said that HE was turning the ign off with his knee??? the bad news is that mercedes never sorted the problem and eventually took the car in part exchange for another CLS. i hope yours is not the same problem.
